Banana Almond Mask
Mash up one banana with one teaspoon of sweet almond oil. Coat your hair from root to tip and allow to sit for 30 minutes before washing it out (the treatment will be enhanced by using a conditioning cap). The banana naturally softens your hair while the almond oil traps moisture into every strand
Peppermint Moisturizing Treatment
Creamy avocado, poppin’ peppermint, honey, and olive oil come together to leave your hair soft and supple and your scalp invigorated. Combine 1 whole avocado, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon EVOO, and 1 tablespoon of loose peppermint tea. Mix it all together and allow to soak into your hair for 30 minutes before washing it out (the treatment will be enhanced by using a conditioning cap). Just try not to eat it!
Egg & EVOO Mask
Whisk 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and coat your hair with the mixture. Allow to sit for 30 minutes before shampooing and conditioning (the treatment will be enhanced by using a conditioning cap). Pro Tip: Take your best “Curly Carbonara” selfie to celebrate your soon-to-be soft curls.
Egg & EVOO Mask Bonus
Make the same mixture as above (1 egg and 2 tablespoons of olive oil), but add 1 cup of pureed strawberries. Massage into your hair (especially the roots) and cover with a conditioning cap for 30 minutes before washing it out. Strawberries are packed with ellagic acid, which protects your hair from thinning. The antioxidants in strawberries also protect the cell membranes of the scalp, locking in moisture.
When you find a mask that works with your hair, use it 2-4 times per month to keep your hair silky, smooth, and soft.
