I'm Angela, Founder of CurlyCoilyTresses® and your Midlife Curl Coach. I help midlife Black women reclaim their natural hair and self-worth after hair loss, thinning and texture changes brought on by menopause, stress or alopecia like CCCA.
In 2017, I noticed my center part widening. In late 2022, I discovered a golf-ball-sized patch of thinning hair on my crown — and was diagnosed with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA), a scarring form of hair loss that felt like a punch to the gut. My hair was more than strands — it was my identity, my confidence and my business.
That experience changed everything. It lit a fire in me to create a brand rooted in truth, healing and transformation.
